The Electoral Court is unable to pronounce itself whether to proceed on an application in which the Independent Patriots for Change and Landless People’s Movement are challenging the Electoral Commission of Namibia, the Swapo Party and President Nangolo Mbumba on alleged irregularities in the National Assembly election, until the Supreme Court decides a legal challenge on the presidential election.
The Supreme Court has yet to deliver a ruling on whether the proclamation made by the President to extend the elections to 29 and 30 November was constitutional. The court resumes on Monday at 10h00.
