Namdia Head Office

An armed robbery took place at Namib Desert Diamonds on Saturday, during which an unspecified number of diamonds were stolen. The value of the stolen diamonds is still to be determined. In response, we reached out to Deputy Inspector General Elias Mutota for an update on the ongoing investigation.

“We have arrested two suspects, and we have recovered some of the diamonds,” Mutota confirmed. “Our colleagues are still working on the investigation, and we are in the process of counting what was taken and what was recovered. It’s a detailed task, which is why we plan to hold a press briefing tomorrow to provide verified and factual information once everything has been confirmed.”
