Background

Future Media and Sanlam have announced the return of the Hit 4 Hope Charity Golf Day, scheduled for Friday, 28 March 2025. Building on the success of previous events that raised N$467,449 since 2022, the initiative supports educational programmes.

Recognising the ongoing challenges in accessing quality education, the annual event provides a platform for local businesses to make a meaningful impact. Proceeds will support two organisations: the Side-by-Side Early Intervention Centre, which assists children with disabilities, and the LearnOnOne Foundation, an educational platform providing free curriculum-aligned content.

CEO of Future Media, Gary Stroebel highlighted the importance of education in driving social change.

“Education is one of the most powerful tools for shaping a brighter future. Partnering with Sanlam for Hit 4 Hope enables us to support Namibian youth by providing opportunities and resources for their educational journey. Every swing on the day brings us closer to a better tomorrow,” he said.

Dr. Evans Simataa, Sanlam’s General Manager for Brand & People, echoed this sentiment, highlighting Sanlam’s commitment to empowering the next generation. “Through this initiative, we aim to contribute to meaningful change, ensuring that more Namibian children have access to the education they deserve,” he noted.

The event invites local businesses to get involved by entering teams, sponsoring a waterhole, or donating prizes and auction items.
