Defendants weigh in on Red Line case

today27 January, 2025

Background

The first four defendants in the ongoing red line case, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Government, the Attorney General, and Hango Nambinga, are opposing the removal of the red line. They argue that instead of removing the line, the focus should be on improving the lives of citizens in the northern regions. In contrast, the fifth defendant, the Meat Board, suggests that the red line could be gradually moved over time. Ellen Shihepo from One Africa TV’s NewsOnOne reports.
