Bannerman to invest over N$6 billion in Etango project

Bannerman Mining Resources Namibia

 

Bannerman Mining Resources Namibia has announced plans to invest over six billion Namibia dollars (N$6 billion) in the Etango Project, a uranium mining venture located in the Erongo region. The company has already spent more than one billion Namibia dollars (N$1 billion) on the project to date.

The General Manager of Bannerman Resources Namibia, Werner Ewald shared that the company is on track to begin commissioning the Etango mine by the end of 2027, with production expected to start in the first quarter of 2028.

“We are looking forward to producing the first drums of uranium (U3O8) by early 2028,” Ewald said in a statement.

The Etango Project is set to play a prominent role in the country’s growing uranium mining industry, with Bannerman’s ongoing investments aimed at boosting production and contributing to the country’s economy.
