  The National Student Organisation President, Dorthea Nangolo, has raised concerns over the persistent underperformance of male learners, emphasizing the need for immediate intervention. Our correspondent Josia Shiwedha from One Africa tv reports that while speaking at a press conference at Immanuel Shifidi Secondary School Hall, Nangolo highlighted that male learners have consistently lagged behind their female counterparts in passing rates over the past four years.

  The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority of South Africa has launched investigations into allegations of some security providers who are engaging in criminal activities across the country. Spokesperson Azwi-faneli Tshisi-kamulilo says two incidents were reported in the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal of security providers involved in extortion activities and other companies are practicing that nationwide:

FNB Namibia Contributes for Flood Relief

FNB Namibia has donated N$450,000 to support flood victims in Windhoek, aiding in the rebuilding of sanitation facilities. The bank's Communications Manager: Kirsty Watermeyer, says the funds will also be used for training locals on maintenance for sustainability.

Former Cop Among Suspects in NAMDIA Diamond Heist

Police are investigating the theft of diamonds worth about N$1 billion from Namib Desert Diamonds as an inside job. Deputy Inspector General Elias Mutota confirmed that one of the detained suspects is a security officer at NAMDIA.
