According to police reports, five armed suspects broke into a couple’s home in an industrial area in Otjiwarongo, tied them up, and demanded the keys to their safe. The robbers then loaded the safe into the victims’ vehicle and used it as a getaway car. The stolen safe contained four firearms and N$10,000 in cash. The suspects also took two cellphones and two frozen sheep carcasses. The vehicle was later found abandoned behind Extension 6 in Otjiwarongo. While the couple sustained visible bruises, they did not suffer serious injuries. The suspects remain at large.
