Police Officers Start Portuguese Language Training

Background

 

The police say twenty-five officers have commenced a Portuguese Language Training Course at the Israel Patrick Iyambo Police College in Windhoek. In a social media post, NamPol nidcates that this initiative, a partnership between the Police Force and the Government of Portugal via the CAMOES Institute, aims to enhance communication with Portuguese-speaking communities. The course, running from February 3 to May 30 this year, is being attended by officers from the Criminal Investigations Directorate and various regions.
