President Nangolo Mbumba officially launched the book Whispers of Freedom: The Political Odyssey of Hage G. Geingob on 6 February 2025, in Windhoek. The biography, authored by Dr. Audrin Mathe, chronicles the late President’s political journey, leadership style, and contributions to Namibia’s nation-building efforts.
Speaking at the launch, Mbumba highlighted the book’s significance in preserving the country’s history and offering insights into Geingob’s vision. He noted that Whispers of Freedom joins other political autobiographies, including those of Founding President Sam Nujoma and former President Hifikepunye Pohamba, in shaping a collective national narrative.
The book provides a behind-the-scenes look at Geingob’s decision-making, discipline, and leadership approach while reflecting on his charisma, sense of humor, and deep commitment to the country’s development.
