Namibia has made a significant move toward sustainability with the launch of the Nopal Carbon Farming Project in Maltahöhe. In her speech, the Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted the project’s impact in converting arid land into fertile farmland through the cultivation of drought-resistant nopal cacti. This initiative aims to enhance food security, create employment opportunities, and support renewable energy production via biogas.
