Nigeria’s Dangote Oil Refinery, Africa’s largest, is expected to reach full operational capacity within the next 30 days, according to its head. CNBCAfrica indicates the 650,000-barrel-per-day facility, built by Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote in Lagos, began processing crude into diesel, naphtha, and jet fuel in January last year, with petrol production starting in September. While aiming to compete with European refiners at full capacity, the refinery has faced challenges in securing adequate local crude supply.
