Sports Ministry Suspends Events During National Mourning

The Sports ministry has suspended all sporting events and gatherings from February 9 until further notice in honor of the late Founding Father and former President, Dr. Sam Shafishuna Nujoma. In a statement, the ministry urged all sports federations, organizations, and associations to suspend scheduled activities as the nation mourns Nujoma, who passed away on February 8 at the age of 95 after a prolonged health battle. The ministry stated that further communication will be provided regarding the resumption of activities.
