Five Namibian engineers are undergoing six months of wind turbine training in Cape Town, facilitated by Windwise Turbines. The program equips them with skills to install and maintain Namibia’s first locally manufactured wind turbines. Windwise aims to build a 95% Namibian workforce, aligning with the country’s Green Industrialisation Blueprint. The turbines, using German technology, are designed for stable power generation and seamless integration into Namibia’s energy grid. This initiative is expected to boost employment and support renewable energy projects, including rural electrification.
