Citizens Unite to Honour Sam Nujoma

Memorial services continued across the country this past weekend to celebrate the life and legacy of the late Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma. In the Hardap Region, residents gathered at Mariental Persianer Stadium, singing gospel hymns and dancing in his honour. Meanwhile, Opuwo hosted a service on Sunday, with similar events planned in Kamanjab, Outjo, and Khorixas. Swapo’s Kunene regional coordinator, Julius Kaujova, described Nujoma as the “Messiah and Moses” of Namibia.
