As Grootfontein gears up to host the fifth regional memorial service for the late Founding Father, Dr. Sam Nujoma, authorities have ordered the closure of all bars and shebeens today and tomorrow as a mark of respect. Meanwhile, in Katima Mulilo, last night’s memorial service drew large crowds, with attendees remaining until early morning. Our correspondent in Katima, Jackson Kunatela, spoke with Governor Lawrence Sampofu about the tribute.
