Several U.S. federal agencies have instructed employees to ignore a directive from President Donald Trump’s adviser, Elon Musk, demanding they submit a list of accomplishments within a week or face termination. In an Al Jazeera report, the agencies issued internal memos on Sunday, just a day after Musk’s team sent the ultimatum to hundreds of thousands of federal workers, giving them 48 hours to comply. Musk, who leads the Department of Government Efficiency, has already overseen the dismissal of more than 20,000 government employees.
