A senior Russian lawmaker believes a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin could happen as early as this month or next. Chair of the Russian Parliament's International Affairs Committee, Leonid Slutsky, told Russian state media that plans for a meeting are at an "advanced stage" and that "it will take place soon".   Zimbabwean president and chairperson of the Southern African Development Community, Emmerson Mnangagwa, has urged a ceasefire in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This follows reports of Rwandan-backed rebels capturing another town near Bukavu, despite their earlier ceasefire declaration. Heavy fighting continues, with Goma still under M23 rebel control.
