Members of the public continued to arrive on Saturday morning to pay their last respects to the late Founding President, Sam Nujoma, whose body lay in state at Independence Stadium in Windhoek. As the official burial proceedings begin, attendees were asked to observe a moment of silence while the National Colours were hoisted. A large crowd has gathered, with hundreds still making their way to the historic site to bid their final farewell to the nation’s first president. Nujoma, who passed away on February 8, will be laid to rest later today at Heroes’ Acre.
