Govt Mulls Probe Into NBC’s Executive Bonuses and Spending

Background

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology is considering launching an investigation into the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation following concerns over N$5.4 million in executive bonuses and a N$1.9-million vehicle for its director general, Stanley Similo. A parliamentary report, tabled on 15 February, highlights excessive spending and calls for a forensic audit into NBC’s financial affairs.
