Outgoing President Nangolo Mbumba has signed off the post-retirement benefits of the specified public office-bearers.
The government will pay for the retiring office bearers’ cooks, drivers, security personnel, fuel and a vehicle grant.
The benefits apply to four categories, with the vehicle grant pegged at N$700,000 and N$600,000.
Mbumba said he signed off the benefits under the powers vested in him by section 8 of the Public Office-Bearers (Remuneration and Benefits) Commission Act, 2005 (Act No. 3 of 2005), after considering the recommendation made by the Public Office-Bearers (Remuneration and Benefits) Commission in terms of section 4 of that Act.
