Dynamo Fredericks has made a successful return to football after nearly two years on the sidelines due to a long-term knee injury.

The Jwaneng midfielder has been named in Collin Benjamin’s 24-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Malawi on Thursday.

Fredericks, who was once a key figure in the Brave Warriors midfield, expressed his excitement about returning to international football.

Speaking to SportsOnOne, he described his comeback as a fresh start, emphasizing his renewed hunger and determination to contribute to the national team.

“This is a new beginning for me. I feel stronger and more motivated than ever. I want to give my all for the team and help us achieve our goals,” Fredericks said.

Meanwhile, Deon Hotto, who plays for South African giants Orlando Pirates, believes Fredericks’ experience and dedication will be an asset to the team.

“Dynamo is a hardworking player with great experience. His presence in the squad will definitely be an advantage for us against Malawi,” said Hotto.

The Brave Warriors currently sit second in Group H, trailing group leaders Tunisia. A positive result against Malawi could strengthen Namibia’s chances of progressing further in the qualifiers.
