Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has formally declared the end of the “12‑day war” with Israel, urging the nation to unite and focus on rebuilding infrastructure.

In a televised address, Pezeshkian praised the resilience of the Iranian people and claimed that Israeli strikes failed in their aim to cripple Iran’s nuclear program or incite domestic unrest. He said the conflict shattered the myth of Israeli military supremacy and vowed full government mobilisation on reconstruction efforts.

According to Xinhua and other international outlets, Pezeshkian instructed all state and revolutionary institutions to shift immediately into reconstruction mode following the ceasefire.

He also called for diplomatic engagement, noting Iran’s readiness to resolve lingering issues through international channels.

The conflict began on June 13 with Israeli airstrikes targeting nuclear and military sites in Iran, resulting in a heavy Iranian response, including missile and drone strikes. Reuters reports that U.S. airstrikes on Iranian facilities followed over the weekend, and Iran retaliated by targeting U.S. bases in Qatar.  A U.S.-brokered ceasefire took effect on 24 June.
