Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will host U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump at Windsor Castle from 17 to 19 September. The official visit will mark Trump’s second trip to the United Kingdom, following his 2019 state visit during the reign of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

U.S. media reports that while the visit is expected to include formal engagements and ceremonial welcomes, reports indicate that Trump is unlikely to address Parliament, as the House of Commons will not be in session during the visit.

Speaking ahead of the visit, UK Ambassador to the United States, Peter Mandelson, urged the British public and officials to extend a warm welcome to President Trump, describing the visit as an opportunity to strengthen transatlantic ties.

The upcoming visit comes amid ongoing geopolitical shifts and just weeks after Trump formally accepted the Republican nomination for the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Observers are watching closely to see how the royal reception and diplomatic agenda unfold.
