A 29-year-old man was arrested at Walvis Bay on Monday in possession of 11 small bags of skunk cannabis weighing 422 grams.

The value of the drugs is estimated at N$ 21 100.

According to Walvis Bay police, senior inspector Judith Shomongula, the arrest followed a tipoff from the public about a young man selling drugs on large scale.

“Surveillance was kept on him and his premises. Thereafter, an undercover operation was conducted which led to the recovery of the drugs and the arrest of the suspect,” Shomongula said.

The suspect will appear before the Walvis Bay Magistrate court on Wednesday.
