Immanuel Mulunga Challenges Prosecution Over Enercon Deal

today24 July, 2025

Background

Former NAMCOR managing director Immanuel Mulunga told Windhoek Magistrate’s Court that the state has no legal basis to prosecute him. Reporting for NewsOnOne, Envaalde Matheus noted that Mulunga clarified the N$53 million Enercon asset purchase was conducted through NAMCOR Petroleum Trading and Distribution (Pty) Ltd—not the state-owned NAMCOR—and that he acted within his contractual authority, rejecting the Anti-Corruption Commission’s allegations.
