Nashinge outlines IPC’s progress since formation

The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), founded in August 2020 after the 2019 presidential campaign by Panduleni Itula, is marking its fifth year as a parliamentary force in Namibia. According to party spokesperson Immanuel Nashinge, IPC has secured seats in the National Assembly, grown its local and regional influence, and introduced internal accountability systems.

Since its founding, IPC has emerged as Namibia’s official opposition, winning 20 seats in the 2024 National Assembly elections (20.2% of the vote), and successfully challenging traditional strongholds in urban centers like Walvis Bay and Swakopmund.

As IPC gears up for further electoral competition, its leadership underscores a commitment to democratic values, internal integrity, and long-term planning. Nashinge has called on Namibians to remain vigilant amid political misinformation, and reaffirmed IPC’s dedication to transparency and lawful conduct in all engagements.
