Youth Funding Confusion Hits Walvisbaai

Background

Frans Koita, consultant for DKL Africa Consultations CC, says unclear guidelines for the National Youth Development Fund, which allocates N$257 million to youth businesses, have caused frustration. Speaking from Walvisbaai, he noted that applicants there faced extra documentation requirements, while submissions at the Swakopmund governor’s office went smoothly. The fund’s closing date was 4th September.
