The Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Namibia, Alexandre Baron, says the European Union remains committed to strengthening its partnership with Namibia. Baron, who has over 20 years of experience in international development, highlighted the importance of governance, human rights, and economic policy under the EU’s #GlobalGateway initiative.
He was speaking at the Global African Hydrogen Summit 2025 that opened in Windhoek this week. Industry leaders, including HyIron’s Johannes Michels and Green Hydrogen Commissioner James Mnyupe, stressed the importance of investment, industrialisation, and sustainable growth.
Before joining Namibia, Baron led the Governance and Macroeconomics Team at the EU Delegation to Kenya.
