The Dâures Green Hydrogen Village near Uis has launched the second phase of its project to produce synthetic fertilisers by 2026.
The initiative uses solar power to generate green hydrogen, which is converted into ammonia for the production of ammonium sulphate fertiliser.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held to mark the start of construction of the fertiliser plant, which is expected to support sustainable agriculture and energy innovation in Namibia.
Dâures Green Hydrogen Village CEO Jerome Namaseb said the development represents an important step in advancing Namibia’s green industrialisation efforts.
