Speaking at the 41st Annual Awards Gala Dinner of the Africa America Institute (AAI), President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Mozambican President Daniel Francisco Chapo discussed the importance of responsible investment in Africa. The panel, moderated by AAI President Felicia Appenteng, focused on reforms that support investor engagement in tourism, oil and gas, agriculture, renewable energy, and logistics.

Both leaders stressed that openness to business does not mean unrestricted access. Investors are expected to follow laws and ensure that local communities benefit through job creation, skills transfer, and long-term opportunities.

President Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted Namibia’s partnership with AAI, noting that over 350 alumni have contributed across key sectors, demonstrating the impact of combining education with opportunity.
