Dordabis Community Benefits from Climate-Smart Food Initiative

With N$150,000 support from Santam Namibia, Miss Namibia 2024, Prisca Anyolo, unveiled a climate-smart food project in Dordabis. The program is designed to combat hunger, promote self-reliance, and provide skills and economic empowerment. Anyolo noted the project’s goal is to help communities move beyond dependence on food aid toward sustainable food systems. Santam CEO is Franco Feris. Court Rules Against Exclusive Fibre Deal

The High Court has ruled in favour of the Communications Regulatory Authority, invalidating a clause in a 2012 fibre lease agreement between NamPower, MTC, and Telecom Namibia. The clause had given operators exclusive access to NamPower’s dark fibre with automatic renewal. Mufaro Nesongano, Executive for Communication and Consumer Relations at CRAN, said the decision supports fair competition in the telecom sector.

Paralympic team trains ahead of the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships

The championships will run from 27 September to 5 October at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Team manager T’Neil Young said the athletes are prepared for the competition and encouraged Namibians to rally behind them.
