A communication blackout persists in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, where recent protests have turned deadly, leaving many injured.

Hira Mustafa reports from Islamabad that tensions remain high, with the government under pressure to respond to the activists’ demands while managing security concerns.

The unrest is fueled by demands from the Awami Action Committee, a rights activist group, which is calling on the local government to provide subsidies for food and essential goods. Authorities have restricted communication channels, limiting the flow of information and making it difficult for residents and the media to report on the situation.
