The United Nations says lifesaving relief supplies are now entering Gaza “at scale” following a U.S.-brokered agreement aimed at stabilizing conditions after weeks of conflict.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported improved access for aid workers across the enclave, allowing food, medical supplies, and fuel to reach communities that had been cut off from assistance. “Our teams are finally able to reach areas that were inaccessible for weeks,” said OCHA spokesperson Olga Cherevko, describing the expanded operations as a “critical turning point” in Gaza’s humanitarian response.

Despite the increased aid flow, uncertainty remains over how Gaza will be governed in the near term. Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel said the immediate priority should be establishing a technocratic administration to manage Gaza’s civil affairs and ensure stability.

While the ceasefire has provided temporary relief, diplomatic observers warn that long-term peace will depend on whether political and humanitarian efforts can move in tandem.
