Walvis Bay police probe car break-in, items worth N$91 000 stolen

Police in Walvis Bay are investigating a case of theft out of a motor vehicle after items valued at N$91 000 were stolen from a car parked along Theo Ben Gurirab street near Props Bakery on Friday morning.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 11h20 when an unknown suspect allegedly broke into the complainant’s car using an unidentified object and stole several valuable items.

The stolen property includes a mini drone, an Apple MacBook Pro laptop, a camera, a hard drive, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police confirmed that some items, including a mini two-way charging hub, various cables, and two portable lights, have since been recovered.

The complainant is a 30-year-old German national.

No arrest has been made yet, and investigations into the matter continue
