European foreign ministers gathered in Luxembourg on Monday to discuss new measures aimed at strengthening support for Ukraine, as Kyiv continues to press its allies for advanced weapons and sustained military aid.

The meeting follows last week’s discussions in Washington, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy failed to secure a U.S. commitment to provide long-range missiles, a key request in Kyiv’s effort to repel Russian forces.

Diplomats say the Luxembourg talks are expected to focus on replenishing ammunition stockpiles, expanding defense production within the European Union, and ensuring long-term security guarantees for Ukraine.

William Denselow reports from Brussels that while the EU remains united in its backing of Ukraine, some member states are grappling with political fatigue and domestic economic pressures that could complicate future funding commitments.
