Namibia is embracing data as a powerful driver of innovation and change. This week, the Data Sparks Namibia 2025 event will bring together experts, developers, and decision-makers to explore how data can solve real-world challenges from climate monitoring and disaster response to improving education and connectivity. Co-hosted by the Namibia Statistics Agency and Development Workshop Namibia, the two-day event takes place at the Mövenpick Hotel in Windhoek on the 4th and 5th of November. Organisers say the event aims to build partnerships, promote data-driven solutions, and showcase creative projects that turn information into action for national development. Here is Mirjam Shihepo, the spokesperson for the Namibia Statistics Agency.
