International Holocaust Remembrance Day is being observed worldwide, marking the 81st anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

In the United Kingdom, King Charles III and Queen Camilla are hosting a reception at Buckingham Palace to honour Holocaust survivors and their families. Among the attendees is 86-year-old Peter Lantos, a former prisoner at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, who shared his experiences during the event.

The day serves as a global reminder of the atrocities of the Holocaust and a commitment to remembering its victims.
