Namibia suspends import of animal feed from Angola over disease risks 

By: Envaalde Matheus The agriculture ministry’s veterinary services division has suspended all imports of raw bran and milling by-products from Angola over permit breaches and the risk of spreading animal diseases. Ministry spokesperson Simon Nghipandulwa said the ban was imposed on 5 January after some importers failed to follow permit rules and will remain in effect until further notice. Nghipandulwa said the breaches include a lack of proper certification from Angola’s veterinary authorities, unsealed or tampered consignments during transit, and missing clearance documents at entry points. Namibia’s GDP growth slows in third quarter – FNB
