President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appointed Charles Mubita as Minister in the Presidency, alongside a new slate of deputy ministers across key government portfolios.

The appointments, announced at State House, cover several ministries including health and social services, works and transport, environment, ICT, home affairs, and justice.

The new deputy ministers are:

Hambeleleni S.D. Ndjaleka – Health and Social Services

Hans S. Haikali – Works and Transport

Anselma N. Marungu – Environment, Forestry and Tourism

Moses Khumub – Office of the Vice President

Wenzel Kavaka – Information and Communication Technology

Edward Alfred Wambo – Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security

Inecia Theresia Brandt – Justice and Labour Relations

Hilma Nicanor was also appointed as Advisor to the Minister of Defence.

The President said the delayed announcement of deputy ministers was intended to ensure inclusivity, particularly through the incorporation of National Council representatives. She emphasised their role in bringing grassroots perspectives into national decision-making.
