The 13th Ondangwa Trade and Industrial Exhibition (OTIE) opened on Friday the 24th of April with a record number of 220 exhibitors, showcasing a wide range of products and services to residents and visitors.

According to Ondangwa Town Council spokesperson, Petrina Shitalangaho-Mutikisha, the exhibition will run until Saturday, the 2nd of May.

“The increase in the number of exhibitors this year is noticeable, which highlights the growing economic pulse of the region, from innovative startups to established industrial players,” Shitalangaho-Mutikisha said.

Shitalangaho-Mutikisha added that beyond the business stalls, the exhibition has been transformed into a premier entertainment hub featuring a Boxing Bonanza, the ever-popular car spinning displays, the crowning of Miss Ondangwa Trade Fair and various live musical performances.

“For the first time in the town’s history, go-karting has been introduced as a featured attraction, alongside jumping castles for younger children,” she added.

Shitalangaho-Mutikisha highlighted that the primary goal of the OTIE is to bridge the gap between service providers and the public by bringing goods and services directly to the community’s doorstep. Many stalls remain accessible after standard working hours, and the event fosters a unique environment for networking and engagement.

She urged every member of the community to visit, connect, and engage with exhibitors.
