“Christmas Cup” raises N$ 55 000 for Have a Heart

On 2 December 2023, Gerbie Van Wyk and Dan Zwiebe held their annual Christmas Cup at Omeya. This year, the Have A Heart Namibia Spay and Neuter Project was chosen as the beneficiary for funds raised.

Not only was the day blessed with rain, but close to 100 animal loving golfers gathered to battle it out on the golf course. And later, they battled it out with their wallets during the fundraising auction. Than you to each and every player who entered, and the incredible sponsors who rallied behind our cause, we managed to raise N$55,000.00

Have A Heart Namibia was established in 2013. We provide free sterilization, vaccination, and parasite treatment to dogs and cats from low and no income homes, because we believe, and have seen, that sterilization is the only way to fight the overpopulation of cats and dogs in our country. Our efforts prevent suffering, and it lightens the load on countless communities.

Have A Heart is overwhelmed by the support we received during the golf day, and we are humbled to know that we are not alone in saving lives through sterilisation.

Thank you to all of our sponsors:

DZ Golf, ComputerKit Namibia, Gondwana Collection Namibia, Beach Hotel Swakopmund, Moon Mountain Lodge, Camp Kwando, Leather Connection, Neo Paints, Erongo Mountain Winery, Kubata Restaurant, Metro Fresh, Barco Namibia, Riaan Smit, Palmenkop Campsite, Omeya Golf Club, Karl Andre Terblanche Photography, Organo Gold Namibia, Clover, Bakels, PVW, Gerhard Nel, Bertus Opperman, Familie Malan, Familie Le Roux, and Familie Van Wyk.
