SACP supports ANC’s legal bid against registration of uMkhonto weSizwe with the IEC

The South African Communist Party has declared its backing for the ANC’s legal endeavor to eliminate the recently established uMkonto weSizwe party from the Independent Electoral Commission’s ballot. According to Alex Mashilo, a central committee member of the SACP, uMkhonto weSizwe is a collaborative entity of both the ANC and the SACP. Furthermore, the SACP has affirmed that as part of its support for the ANC, it seeks involvement in the consultation and formulation of the manifesto to ensure the representation of all interests and objectives.
