Windhoek Traffic Officers Issue Over 1,100 Fines in December, Speeding Tops Offenses

Background

In December, traffic officers in Windhoek recorded a total of 1,108 fines, as per statistics furnished by The City of Windhoek to The Namibian. The most prevalent offenses included speeding violations, accounting for 171 fines, followed closely by disregarding road signs. Additionally, 86 fines were issued to drivers lacking a valid driving license. Furthermore, 85 fines were imposed on motorists for not having their driving licenses in their possession. Among the fines issued, 162 were related to vehicle fitness, with 57 fines attributed to unregistered or unlicensed vehicles.
