The United Democratic Movement in South Africa has added its voice to calls for the resignation of Higher Education, Science and Innovation minister Blade Nzimande following corruption allegations. Nzimande denied accusations from the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse, who released recordings suggesting he and NSFAS chairperson Ernest Khoza sought kickbacks. The non-profit alleges a one-million-rand payment to Nzimande’s South African Communist Party. UDM leader Bantu Holomisa says he is not surprised by Nzimande’s denial of the allegations.
