EXCLUSIVE: Jeraldo Jermano Eiseb’s Inspiring Haircuts Charity Project in Gobabis

Gobabis, Namibia – In a heartwarming initiative, Jeraldo Jermano Eiseb, known as Jeraldo Jermano Eiseb, embarked on a charitable project providing free haircuts to schoolboys in Gobabis, Namibia. The project aimed to uplift the community by offering grooming services to those who may not have easy access.

The project, initially named “Free Haircut for a Schoolgirl in the West,” garnered attention and appreciation from the local community. Jeraldo shared his motivation, stating, “I’ve been doing projects for the community for years, but this year it just came into my mind. I’ve seen that there are some schools that have special haircuts. Then I found out there are some people that are not able to. I wanted to give the community an opportunity to provide them with a free haircut.”

The response exceeded expectations, with an overwhelming turnout of 150 boys seeking haircuts. Jeraldo expressed his surprise, stating, “I did not expect the result. I only saw two or three boys that came through, but then I was overwhelmed.” The project gained traction on social media platforms, including TikTok and WhatsApp, further amplifying its impact.

Looking forward, Jeraldo emphasized his commitment to extending the project beyond just haircuts. He shared plans for a new initiative focused on girls in the community, addressing specific challenges they face, such as affordability and accessibility. “These girls, when they are on their period, they don’t talk. The project I’m currently working on involves coaching girls and providing essential resources,” Jeraldo explained.

Collaborating with individuals like Jericho, Jaliza, and Shaun Asprila Gariseb, Jeraldo aims to make a lasting impact on the community. The new project involves not only haircuts but also addressing broader issues faced by girls in the area.

Future plans include setting up stalls in collaboration with local businesses to offer free projects and engage the community. Jeraldo acknowledged challenges, particularly in acquiring resources, but expressed determination to navigate through them.

As the project gains momentum, the focus extends to various schools in the region. Jeraldo collaborates with teachers to ensure a fair distribution of resources and support.

Reflecting on the success of the haircuts project, Jeraldo concluded the interview by stating, “What I want is this project must go on. It should not stop here. It should be about school.” He thanked the community for their support and expressed optimism about the positive impact these initiatives could have.
