On Thursday, a government official from the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism was apprehended for purportedly misusing a government vehicle to transport 39 bags (50 kilograms each) of private animal feed without the required permits. Deputy Commissioner Eino Nambahu, the Acting Regional Commander of the Namibian Police Force in the Kavango East Region, says that the individual was allegedly moving the bags from a residence in Sauyemwa informal settlement to his home in Tuhingireni informal settlement. The suspect reportedly planned to later deliver the bags to his farm in Karukuhwisa village, but an undercover police officer intervened and intercepted the transportation.
