The Von Bach dam is currently standing at 12.6%, the lowest since January 2017 while the Swakoppoort levels continue to decline. NamWater has meanwhile faced challenges transferring water from Swakoppoort to Von Bach, leaving Windhoek reliant on aquifers, should the rainy season disappoint. Cirrus Capital economist Robert McGregor comments on the implications.
