Windhoek High Court Sets Date for Hearing on Fired ||Kharas Regional Council Councillors’ Urgent Application

The Windhoek High Court has scheduled the hearing of an urgent application by three fired councillors from the ||Kharas Regional Council as a normal application on April 18, 2024. Councillors Lazarus Nangolo, Taimi Amakali, and Susan Ndjaleka were suspended on January 25, 2024, by ||Kharas Regional Council Chairperson Joseph Isaacks for various alleged offenses, including absconding from meetings and sabotaging the council. The court will address the matter in a formal hearing on the specified date.
