South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has issued a stern warning, stating that individuals inciting election violence will face arrest. This comes in response to threats of bloodshed by the uMkhonto we Sizwe Party in KwaZulu-Natal if denied participation in the upcoming May 29 polls. Earlier today, supporters of the MK party attempted to disrupt the opening of the presidential imbizo in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, with provocative chants, prompting the President to declare those inciting unrest as enemies of democracy.
