The Namibia Careers Expo, established in 2009 as Namibia’s premier career development platform, is set to host its 13th edition from April 3rd to April 4th, 2024, at the Winter Country Club. After a hiatus of two years due to the pandemic, the Expo is back with renewed vigor, sponsored by the Bankers Association of Namibia, represented by Bank of Intuk and First National Bank.
This year’s Expo promises exciting additions, including section sponsors dedicated to championing specific industries and their career opportunities. Fortescue Energy will spotlight green hydrogen careers, while the Environmental Investment Fund will showcase environmental stewardship and entrepreneurship pathways. Additionally, the UNFPA will host a seminar focusing on essential life skills such as entrepreneurship, financial management, and stress management.
The Transformative Be Free initiative is sponsoring the Speakers Hall, providing learners with the chance to engage with professionals and gain valuable career insights that could shape their futures.
The Expo is open to the public, offering free admission from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Even schools not officially registered can attend, making it accessible to all interested individuals. With an expected turnout of approximately 3,000 learners, including attendees from Luderitz, the Expo promises to be a bustling hub of career exploration and empowerment.
